Rest Your Paws Pet Care is a professional, licensed and insured pet sitting and dog walking business servicing the North Bay and surrounding areas including Corbeil, Powassan, and Sturgeon Falls. We are a small business that is growing rapidly and are looking for someone who loves all animals to join our team.
We are looking for a responsible, professional pet enthusiast who is a positive and calm individual that will treat each pet as if it is their own. The position involves operating independently the majority of the time, with some team walks where multiple dogs are involved. The successful candidate must be hard-working, dedicated, reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
As a Pet Care Provider with Rest Your Paws Pet Care, duties will include driving to clients’ houses in our service area to provide services including but not limited to: walking, feeding, providing water, cleaning up after pets and of course, cuddles and fun for our furry companions. The position may also at times require staying overnight at the client’s home with the pets to care for them. Once properly trained or if you have previous experience you may also be asked to administer medication when required.
This position is a part-time position, with no guaranteed minimum hours. Your schedule will vary depending on the needs of our clients, as well as the number of clients booked during the day. Flexibility for short-notice bookings is very important. Starting hours are likely to be between 5-20 hours per week. Pay is dependent on the type of service completed, which will range from $15-$50/job depending on service.
Qualifications
Licensed G driver with reliable access to a vehicle (vehicle may be used to transport dogs upon request).
A post-secondary degree related to animal science and/or past. professional experience working with animals is highly recommended.
Will be required to complete a Pet CPR and First Aid Course.
Comfort in handling large breeds of dogs, multiple pets in a household, and a wide variety of pets, including cats, dogs, birds, and other small animals.
Cell phone with internet access to allow for logging of service completion in business software.
